Being the leading channel that offers action and adventure AXN announces that they will be airing the much-anticipated TV adaptation of Hannibal. Based from the novel of Thomas Harris the Hannibal series and particularly the Red Dragon and developed for television by Bryan Fuller, the psychological thriller will show the relationship of the FBI criminal profiler Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a forensic psychiatrist and later become a serial killer.
Hannibal stars Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen who will be playing Special Agent Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter respectively. The two characters will have a brilliant partnership in trying to solve crime without Will’s knowing that the serial killer that he is looking for so long was the friend who was with him all along.
Also starring in the TV adaptation of Hannibal are Caroline Dhavernas and Lara Jean Chorostecki. The character of Hannibal was made popular by Anthony Hopkins when the novels of Harris were adapted to a film; The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Hannibal (2001), and Red Dragon (2002). AXN will be airing Hannibal this summer.
