After the success of the second Auction for Action of the United Nation’s Children Fund (UNICEF) Philippines that was headed by celebrity mother Daphne Oseña-Paez, UNICEF is continuously working to raise funds that will benefit the children and mothers that in need of help because of malnutrition, and displacement because of conflict and calamity. With the Trick or Treat for UNICEF campaign, it will generate more funds that will focus on the providing children with books and school supplies, help save children from severe acute malnutrition and help provide children with emergency and family supplies in times of calamity. This will be the first time that this campaign will be implemented by UNICEF here in the Philippines and they will be involving children who loves to celebrate Halloween and encourage them to make a difference.

The campaign started last October 6 where UNICEF distributes the Trick or Treat for UNICEF orange kit where children can ask everyone that instead giving them candies and chocolates on Halloween, they can give donations to UNICEF that will benefit fellow children who are in need. The kits will be available in UNICEF booths at The Mega Atrium in SM Megamall and the Podium. Children must be accompanied by their parents or guardian to avail the free kit. For schools, companies and organizations who wanted to take part of this campaign that can visit www.unicef.ph for details or call 785-1000.
