>Every steps count to End Hunger, Join WFP’s Walk the World 2010

>On June 6, Filipino runners, walkers and advocates will unite in stepping up to End Hunger in this year’s End Hunger: Walk the World 2010 – ISAANG HAKBANG PILIPINAS 2010 (One Step Philippines 2010) in the 28th and 9th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, 5:30 AM. Participants can join by logging on to http://www.walktheworld-pilipinas.org, registration fee is only P250 pesos, and proceeds from the event will be supporting the 70,000 school children in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao through WFP’s Emergency Food-for-Education Programme.

In the traditional walk, there will be a 5Km Fun Run for the running enthusiast, Stephen Anderson, Country Director of WFP in the Philippines, KC Concepcion National Ambassador of WFP, Cetin Yalcin, Country General Manager of TNT and Carl Cruz the Managing Director for Foods of Unilever will be joining the runners, walkers and advocates on the said event.
