ABS-CBN acquires the rights to air the Biggest Loser in the Philippines which they will be calling Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition. The announcement was made during the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash 2010 Big Night. Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition will begin its audition in all part of the Philippines to scout possible contestants on the said competition which it should be overweight.
To those who wants to audition the required age is 18-40 years old, must be in good health, for men it should be 250 lbs and above and for women it should be 200 lbs and above. They must bring Valid ID with close up and full body picture. Audition dates: July 9 – PBB Activity Center, July 16 Metro Town Mall – Tarlac, July 30 Park Mall Cebu, August 6 Legaspi City at the Embarcadero de Legazpi, and August 13 SM City Iloilo.
The main goal of the show it to loose weight every week where participants will endure series of intensive weight lost program, the less number of weight lost will lead to the elimination of the contestant.
The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition is under The Biggest Loser franchise owned by Endemol, owner of Big Brother franchise for Pinoy Big Brother and Dream Academy franchise for Pinoy Dream Academy.
