1. Brent Manalo navigates unspoken feelings in “Pareho Tayong Nahihiya”
Brent and Analain Salvador portray co-workers who secretly like each other but struggle to express their feelings in the music video for “Pareho Tayong Nahihiya”. Set in a coffee shop, the story unfolds through their subtle interactions and missed chances to confess their mutual attraction. Directed by John “Sweet” Lapus, the song was composed and produced by StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos and is part of Brent’s “Lover Boy” EP.
2. Heath Jornales holds on to love and longing in “Back to You”
Heath Jornales explores the desire to return to someone he continues to care about in “Back to You”, a song about affection that persists despite distance and uncertainty. The Kapuso singer-actor stars alongside his mother, Kayla Davies, in the music video, which portrays his efforts to express his feelings for someone special. Composed by Heath and produced by Rox Santos, the track is one of the standout songs from his debut EP.
3. AZTER finds hope amid romantic uncertainty in “Parang May Mali”
P-pop boy group AZTER brings its “univerZity” concept to the music video for “Parang May Mali”, set in a classroom that reflects the school-inspired theme of its debut album. The story captures the uncertainty of being stuck in love while hoping that things will eventually fall into place. Written by Roel Rostata, Patrick Rodriguez, and John Reinard Fernandez, the track features choreography by Cedrick Mateo and AZTER member Kean. The music video was directed by Edrex Clyde Sanchez.
4. WRIVE encourages everyone to dance through life’s worries in “Sumayaw Ka”
WRIVE puts a contemporary spin on Gloc-9’s hip-hop track “Sumayaw Ka”, encouraging listeners to take a break from their worries, enjoy the present, and keep moving forward. The new version features Cianne Dominguez and was produced by Darren Cashwell and WRIVE member Russu. Its music video features the five-member P-pop group dancing and having fun in a closed room, dressed in denim outfits. High- and low-angle shots create a CCTV-inspired visual style that complements the group’s energetic performance.
5. AJAA captures the butterflies of a new crush in “KAKABAKABA”
AJAA brings the nervous excitement of being around someone special to life in “KAKABAKABA”, a track from the group’s latest EP, “4:ÜS.” The music video follows the members as they try to win over their crushes inside a thrift shop, leading to a prom-inspired celebration where they get to spend time together. Composed by Dennis Campañer and produced by Gab Tagadtad, the song gets a playful visual treatment from director Mark Putian, matching its youthful take on romance.
