Union Bank of the Philippines has been named Digital Onboarding Excellence Champion 2026 for Southeast Asia by Capital Finance International (CFI.co), recognizing its efforts to make banking more accessible through convenient and secure digital services.
The recognition highlights UnionBank’s digital onboarding features, including self-service applications, electronic identity verification, selfie liveness checks, resumable forms, and app-based account activation. These tools allow customers to open accounts and begin banking through a streamlined digital experience.

UnionBank’s digital services support both individual and business customers, covering savings accounts, credit cards, fund transfers, bill payments, payroll, investments, and business banking solutions. Entrepreneurs and small business owners can also open a BizStarter Account through the UB Negosyante App entirely online, with an initial deposit of Php 5,000 and no need for branch visits or paperwork.
For corporate clients, The Portal, UnionBank’s online corporate and business banking platform, provides digital tools for managing payments, payroll, and checks, helping streamline daily operations and reduce paperwork.
