Davao City became a stage for emerging Filipino talent as LG Electronics Philippines, in partnership with EMCOR, brought LG xboom IDOL 2026 to the EMCOR Atrium in Bajada on September 12.
The Mindanao leg of the nationwide talent search brought aspiring singers and dancers together for an afternoon of performances, music, and entertainment. The competition gives performers an opportunity to showcase their talent, confidence, and stage presence while experiencing the powerful sound of LG xboom.
Of the 18 performers who registered, 10 advanced to the semi-final round, with eight ultimately taking the stage. Each contestant brought a distinct style and energy as they performed before an enthusiastic Davao crowd.
Among the standout performers were Merry Grace Simbajon of Digos, Cristine Joyce “CJ” Bunao of Tanza, and Roxanne Jamora of Agdao. Jamora emerged as the top performer with an average score of 97.58%, earning the title of LG xboom IDOL 2026 Mindanao Grand Finalist.
Jamora received a trophy and certificate for her achievement, while the other semi-finalists were recognized with medals and certificates for their performances.

Adding to the event experience was the LG xboom Stage 501, which powered the performances and highlighted the brand’s focus on music, karaoke, and live entertainment. Designed for gatherings and performances, the speaker delivers a sound experience suited for both larger events and celebrations at home.
The elimination rounds also gave performers the chance to take home prizes. Standout winners received an LG xboom Stage 501 plus Php 5,000 in cash, while other selected performers received an LG xboom Mini with Php 2,000 in cash.

The stakes rise at the national finals, where the fifth-place winner will receive Php 10,000 and a 50-inch LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV. Third- and fourth-place winners will each receive Php 20,000 and a 50-inch LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV, while the second-place winner will take home Php 50,000 and a 55-inch LG Nano UHD 4K Smart TV. The first-place winner will receive Php 100,000 and a trip for two to Seoul, South Korea.
The Davao audience also became part of the celebration, cheering for the contestants and joining in the afternoon’s music-filled atmosphere. Ten LG xboom Minis were raffled off to audience members during the event.
“Through LG xboom IDOL, we want to create more opportunities for aspiring performers to be seen, heard, and celebrated,” said Yongwoo Park, Media Solutions Product Director, LG Electronics Philippines. “It’s our way of bringing people closer to music while showing how LG xboom can make every performance feel more alive, more shared, and more memorable.”
Following the Davao leg, LG xboom IDOL 2026 continues its nationwide search for emerging talent. The next leg is set for October 11 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, where more aspiring singers and dancers will have the opportunity to take the stage and compete for a place in the national finals.
