Riot Games has brought back HEARTSTEEL, the virtual music group inspired by League of Legends champions, with its new single “Live My Life,” out now via Riot Games and Virgin Music Group. The release marks the group’s first new music since its 2023 breakout debut single “PARANOIA,” which has surpassed 200 million streams across platforms.
HEARTSTEEL brings together six League of Legends champions reimagined as pop stars: Ezreal on vocals, Kayn on rap, Aphelios as instrumentalist and songwriter, Yone as producer, and K’Sante and Sett as co-leaders and vocalists/rappers. While their personalities and creative styles differ, the group is united by their friendship and shared passion for music.
Three years after “PARANOIA” introduced the group, “Live My Life” presents a more confident HEARTSTEEL. Written and produced by Grammy Award-winning alternative pop artist Jon Bellion, the song celebrates self-expression, individuality, and the freedom to live boldly without apology. Its genre-blending sound and emotional energy reflect the group’s move into a new chapter.
The new release features returning and new artists from different musical backgrounds. BAEKHYUN returns as the voice of Ezreal, while Anderson .Paak voices K’Sante, Connor Price takes on the role of Sett, and Nic D voices Kayn. The collaboration marks another expansion of HEARTSTEEL’s virtual world through partnerships with artists from different cultures and genres.
According to Maria Egan, Global Head of Music & Events at Riot Games, HEARTSTEEL offers fans a different way to experience the League of Legends champions they know and love. BAEKHYUN, who is also a dedicated League of Legends player, said returning as Ezreal feels particularly meaningful after connecting with the Riot Games team and exchanging creative ideas during his visit to the company’s campus.
Fans can now stream “Live My Life” across major music platforms and watch the official music video on the League of Legends YouTube channel as HEARTSTEEL begins its next chapter.
