Moviegoers can enjoy a full day of big-screen entertainment for just P100 as Gateway Cineplex 18 joins the country’s first-ever nationwide National Cinema Day on September 12, 2026.
Spearheaded by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), the one-day celebration brings cinemas, film distributors, and audiences together to reignite the shared experience of watching movies in theaters. Gateway Cineplex 18, the largest cineplex in the Philippines, will take part by offering a special lineup of local and international films at an exclusive P100 ticket price.
Nine regular screens at Gateway Cineplex 18 will be dedicated to a diverse selection of films across various genres, giving movie fans and groups the opportunity to catch multiple titles and enjoy an affordable movie marathon. The special rate applies to participating screenings throughout the day.

For those looking for a more premium experience, Wolfgang Premiere Lounges A, B, and C and the World Kitchens Platinum Cinema will continue their regular operations, ensuring that VIP patrons can still enjoy their preferred cinema experience.
The celebration also extends beyond the theaters, with participating dining, retail, and entertainment establishments across Araneta City offering special deals to National Cinema Day ticket holders. Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Dairy Queen branches within Araneta City will offer 10% off, while Sticky Sweet at World Kitchens, Gateway Mall 2 will give 15% off select menu items, and Snaxx will offer 10% off ala carte orders, among other promotions.
National Cinema Day is spearheaded by CEAP and supported by the Film Development Council of the Philippines, Film Academy of the Philippines, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, and Quezon City Screen Commission. The initiative aims to reconnect audiences with the cinema as a place for entertainment, culture, and shared experiences.
Gateway Cineplex 18 has been a major entertainment destination for more than two decades, offering state-of-the-art acoustic engineering, digital projection, and ergonomic seating across its regular screens. These features provide audiences with an immersive viewing experience designed to bring movies to life on the big screen.
“For generations, the cinema has held a sacred place in the heart of pop culture, providing a communal sanctuary where we collectively weep and cheer for the triumphs and trials of the human story on screen,” said Irene L. Jose, Chief Operating Officer of Uniprom, the entertainment arm of the Araneta Group. “While modern streaming offers convenience, nothing quite replicates the electric, shared magic of watching a story unfold on a towering silver screen in a darkened theater.”
Moviegoers can check Gateway Cineplex 18’s official social media pages for the complete National Cinema Day lineup. Tickets may also be purchased through TicketNet or by contacting TicketNet at 8911-5555 or [email protected].
With tickets priced at just P100 for participating screenings, National Cinema Day offers the perfect excuse to gather family and friends, pick a movie, grab some snacks, and rediscover the magic of watching stories together on the big screen.
