OGAWA redefines the modern wellness journey with smarter, holistic massage technology

For years, massage chairs have been associated with relaxation and comfort, but emerging research suggests their benefits can extend beyond a simple massage. A joint study by OGAWA and Universiti Malaya found that OGAWA massage chairs may improve sleep quality by up to 88% and blood circulation by up to 81%, highlighting their potential role in supporting everyday wellness and quality of life.

“With OGAWA chairs, the massage aspect is just one part of the rest and recovery journey. The research findings provide tangible evidence of how OGAWA massage chairs can elevate the overall wellness experience. Our products offer unexpected features and benefits that redefine what a massage chair can do,” said Shey Agustin, Marketing Executive of OGAWA Philippines.

At the heart of OGAWA’s wellness technology is the OGAWA Maestro, powered by Overseer, an artificial intelligence system equipped with precision sensors that assess the user’s physiological condition before and during a session. By analyzing factors such as body shape, stress levels, and pressure points, the system creates a more personalized massage program based on the user’s needs.

The OGAWA Maestro also features negative ion technology designed to improve surrounding air quality. The chair releases negatively charged ions that can attach to airborne particles such as dust and allergens, increasing their weight and helping them settle out of the air.

As massage chairs become part of more people’s daily wellness routines, OGAWA continues to develop features designed to make the experience both convenient and safe. Its massage chairs include child and pet safety lock systems, allowing users to enjoy their sessions with added peace of mind.

Unlike spa and physical therapy services that typically charge per session, an OGAWA massage chair offers a fixed-cost approach to everyday massage and relaxation. Once installed at home, users can access their wellness routine without repeatedly paying for individual sessions, making the chair a convenient long-term addition to a home wellness setup.

“OGAWA will continue to help individuals achieve their health goals and pursue their wellness journeys by putting their needs at the center of our mission. Through our massage chairs and mobile tools, we aim to remain part of our customers’ journey toward a fuller and healthier life. We will continue developing holistic wellness tools that go beyond the traditional massage chair,” Agustin said.

With more than 30 branches nationwide, OGAWA brings its wellness products closer to Filipino consumers. In Metro Manila, its stores are located in major destinations including Shangri-La Plaza, SM Megamall, Greenbelt 5, One Ayala Makati, Uptown Mall BGC, Lucky Chinatown Mall, Robinsons Manila, Ayala Malls Vertis North, Eastwood Mall, Robinsons Magnolia, SM Fairview, SM North EDSA The Block, UP Town Center, Greenhills Promenade 3, Gateway Mall, Alabang Town Center, Evia Lifestyle Center, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, OKADA Manila, SM BF Parañaque, and Newport Mall. OGAWA also has branches in SM City Bacoor, Ayala Solenad 3, SM Sta. Rosa, SM Seaside City Cebu, SM Lanang Premier in Davao, SM Clark in Pampanga, and SM City Olongapo Central.
