From calling each other “twins” during their Pinoy Big Brother days to becoming siblings on screen, Esnyr Ranollo and Bianca De Vera are taking their friendship to a new level in ABS-CBN Studios and iWant’s upcoming vertical microdrama “Half Sisters.”
Esnyr and Bianca portray half-siblings Ramon and Emily in the comedy series, with Brent Manalo joining the cast in a still-mysterious role.
A recently released look test offers a first glimpse of the series, featuring Esnyr’s Ramon alongside Brent. While Brent’s character remains under wraps, the preview hints at the fun, surprises, and unexpected situations that await the characters.
The casting has also delighted fans who have followed Esnyr and Bianca’s friendship since their PBB days. The two have famously referred to each other as “twins,” making their new roles as siblings an amusing twist to their real-life bond.
“Half Sisters” also marks Star Creatives’ first foray into the vertical microdrama format, following the success of “The Loyalty Game” and “The Secrets of Hotel 88.” Directed by Julius Alfonso, the series delivers a light and entertaining story designed for short-form, mobile viewing.
