Maya, the Philippines’ leading digital financial services platform, earned two major honors at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific 2026, taking home Gold in the Best Brand Collaboration category and Silver in the Consumer Launch category. Its Welcome to Maya Black campaign was also shortlisted in the PR Event category.

Maya received the Gold award for its Save a Housemate. Save with Maya. campaign, which transformed fan engagement during Pinoy Big Brother into an opportunity to promote better financial habits.

As audiences rallied behind their favorite housemates, Maya introduced the innovative Save-to-Vote feature, replacing the traditional SMS voting system with a seamless in-app experience. Instead of simply purchasing votes, users first deposited money into their Maya accounts before casting their votes, encouraging saving while participating in the country’s longest-running reality show.

Integrated into weekly on-air segments and amplified through fan-driven digital content, the campaign successfully made Maya an integral part of the Pinoy Big Brother experience. The initiative generated strong audience engagement, strengthened brand affinity, and encouraged healthier financial behavior among users.

Maya also received Silver in the Consumer Launch category for its Welcome to Maya Black campaign, which introduced the Maya Black Visa Platinum Credit Card, a premium travel and lifestyle card designed for aspirational everyday spending.

Powered by an AI-driven underwriting framework and a fully digital application process, Maya Black expands access to premium credit by allowing more Filipinos, including those traditionally underserved by conventional credit models, to qualify from day one.

The campaign stood out with its striking black-and-white launch film and synchronized “Blackout” brand takeover across multiple platforms, redefining premium credit for a new generation of consumers. In addition to winning Silver, the campaign also earned a shortlist citation in the PR Event category.

“These awards recognize the kind of work we believe in—building products and campaigns that address real customer needs in ways people genuinely connect with,” said Pepe Torres, Maya Group Chief Marketing Officer. “For us, creativity only matters if it creates real impact, and that’s the standard we continue to hold ourselves to.”

The latest recognition marks Maya’s fourth consecutive year of success at the PR Awards Asia-Pacific, following award-winning campaigns including the PayMaya-to-Maya rebrand in 2022, My Money, My Bank, My Way in 2023, and Get Banked with Maya in 2024.

Organized by Campaign Asia, the PR Awards Asia-Pacific recognizes outstanding public relations campaigns across the region, celebrating excellence in storytelling, strategic communications, creativity, and measurable campaign effectiveness.
