Rising P-pop boy group AJAA gets candid about love in their latest single, “Ako Na,” which recently topped the iTunes Philippines chart.
Marking their first release under ABS-CBN’s record label StarPop, “Ako Na” delivers an infectious mix of upbeat melodies and heartfelt lyrics, a hopeful anthem about longing, vulnerability, and the courage to ask to be chosen by the one you love.
The track was co-written and produced by Franz Chua of VXON, along with Jhon Carl Maniacop and Theo Martel.
AJAA is composed of members Ash, JC, Axl, and Alex who made their debut in 2023 and quickly gained recognition as one of the fresh faces of the new P-pop generation. Their debut EP “4 Ü” has garnered nearly 3 million Spotify streams and includes fan favorites like “Hany,” “Best Day Ever,” “Cuppy Cake,” and “Torpe.”
In 2024, the group released “BES I LUV U,” which earned a spot on Spotify’s P-pop On The Rise playlist. Earlier this year, they dropped the dance-pop single “Dedma,” which has already surpassed 300,000 streams on the platform.
