The AJP Tour Asia Continental Jiu-Jitsu Championship wrapped up on Sunday after three days of world-class competition at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. Organized by Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP), the event brought together more than 1,000 male and female athletes from around the globe, competing across juniors, masters, amateurs, and professional divisions.
Commando Group emerged as the top-performing team in the professional division, earning 42,100 points to claim first place. M.O.D UAE followed in second place with 23,400 points, while Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club secured third with 11,200 points.
The team’s dominance extended beyond the professional division. In the amateurs and masters categories, Commando Group again topped the leaderboard with 127,000 points. M.O.D UAE finished second with 53,650 points, while Abu Dhabi Team took third with 18,270 points.
The youth divisions also delivered exciting performances. ADMA Academy captured first place in the kids, cadets (under 16), and juveniles (under 18) categories with 51,890 points. Al Jazira Jiu-Jitsu Club placed second with 48,950 points, and Palms Sports – Team 777 finished close behind in third with 47,970 points.

Over the course of the tournament, a total of 889 medals were awarded: 325 gold, 306 silver, and 258 bronze. The high-energy event highlighted the growing popularity of jiu-jitsu both regionally and internationally, showcasing top-tier talent and intense competition at every level.
Zayd Eagleton, Operations Manager at International Vision Sports Management, praised the level of competition, stating, “The AJP Asia Continental Jiu-Jitsu Championship has solidified its position as one of the most prominent tournaments on the international stage, bringing together elite professional athletes from black, brown, and purple belts. They delivered high-level performances that highlighted their readiness and determination to reach the podium, underscoring the tournament’s global and professional stature.”

He added that the tournament plays a vital role on the AJP calendar by granting valuable ranking points, which enhance athletes’ chances of qualifying for the prestigious Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
The championship’s success once again underscored the UAE’s position as the global capital of jiu-jitsu, strengthening its role in developing the sport worldwide. The event also provided an important platform for nurturing the next generation of athletes, preparing them to compete at the highest levels on the international stage.
