UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation gears up for 2025 season and Abu Dhabi World Pro

The UAEJJF met to review the season and prepare for the 17th Abu Dhabi World Pro in November.

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) Board of Directors held its regular meeting at the Federation’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi to assess the current season’s progress and finalize preparations for the 17th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, set for November 2025. The meeting also focused on the national team’s upcoming international engagements.

The session was chaired by H.E. Abdulmunem Alhashmi, Chairman of the UAEJJF, President of the Ju-Jitsu Asian Union, and Senior Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation. In attendance were Federation Vice Chairman H.E. Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri and board members H.E. Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, H.E. Yousef Abdullah Al Batran, H.E. Mansour Mohammed Al Dhaheri, and Secretary-General Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, alongside department directors Mubarak Saleh Al Menhali and Mohamed Hussein Al Marzooqi.

H.E. Alhashmi opened the meeting by expressing gratitude to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their continued support of jiu-jitsu. The board discussed new strategies to further position the UAE as a global leader in the sport, including athlete development, grassroots expansion, and enhanced training opportunities.

The board also reviewed upcoming international tournaments such as the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Thailand, the JJAU West Asia Championship in Jordan, the JJIF World Cup in Croatia, the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, and the World Games in China. Updates on local club development and the 2025 season budget were also discussed, reinforcing the Federation’s mission to sustain excellence in all aspects of the sport.
