7101 Music Nation formed by Julio D. Sy, Ryan Cayabyab and Twinky Lagdameo will be having its 1st ELEMENTS National Song Writing Camp on November 14 – 18 in Dumaguete City in Negros Occidental where it will nurture and train aspirant song writers to enhance their talents and learn from the masters of OPM. There where 60 slots will be given to all aspiring participants; 20 from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Participant will undergo 5 day of out-of-the classroom mentor ship, all expenses paid.

Participants for the 1st ELEMENTS National Song Writing Camp must be a Filipino citizen with the age of 18-35 years old and has the talent on song writing and they should pass the screening process headed by Mr. C and his team. Application period will start from July 20 to August 22, 2010 which covers live auditions and tryouts, and the official list of 60 participants will be announced on September 22, full details is posted at the official website http://www.7101musicnation.com.ph including the online registration form.

The 5-day workshop will present modules on Musikang Pinoy: History 101, Basic Music Creation, Lyrics, Beyond Music and Words, Commercial Music Structures, The Music Producer, Publishing & New Business Trends, Music & Technology, Music Videos & Production and Music & Inspiration. Speakers, Lecturers, and Team Facilitators include such luminaries as Jim Paredes, South Border’s Jay Durias, Side A’s Joey Benin, Joey Ayala, Noel Cabangon, Gary Granada, Gary Valenciano, Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar, Gabby Alipe of Urbandub, Sponge Cola’s Yael Yuzon, Jonathan Manalo, Jungee Marcelo, Trina Belamide, and more big names on the local music industry.
