After Kim Chiu and Sarah Geronimo becoming Disney Princesses in the Walt Disney Southeast Asia limited edition calendar and Anne Curtis doing a lead role in Hollywood’s Blood Ramsom, another Kapamilya star was given a break to have the same opportunity and he is Xian Lim. Xian, one of the primetime actors of ABS-CBN and behind of several top-rating teleseryes and box office films in the Philippines will become the voice of United Kingdom’s most loved fictional character named Paddington in Philippines’ distribution of the film under Captive Cinema starting February 11. Paddington is the most loved bear in the novel of Michael Bond that first appeared in October 1958.
Paddington was produced by the same team who brought the successful movie adaptation of Harry Potter, the producer of the film David Heyman personally approved to be Xian to be the lead star’s voice in the Philippine screening. While in the US and international screening, Paddington will be voiced by Ben Winshaw. The film also stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, and Nicole Kidman.
According to Xian he was very happy when he was given this opportunity of be the voice of Paddington in the film. He said that he really enjoyed doing the dubbing and even he was not physically shooting with the stars of the film he said it was like acting with them and he had fun. His memorable part of the movie is the part where Paddington is looking in the orange and start talking, this was the part where Xian’s started to hear his voice which for him is very amazing and ecstatic at the same time.
The film Paddington follows the story of a bear from Peru and seeks for a new family in London where he met the Brown family. Because of his intelligence he became an instant interest for Millicent (Kidman) a sadistic museum taxidermist who wanted him to be part of her exotic animal collections in the Natural History Museum. Paddington and the Brown family will try their best to stop Millicent where the fun-filled adventure starts.

Meanwhile, other familiar voices included in the film are Michael Gambon who used to be as Albus Dumbledore now as as Uncle Pastuzo, Imelda Staunton who used to be as Dolores Umbridg and now as Aunt Lucy and Julie Walters who was used be as Mrs.Weasley and now as Mrs. Bird. All the characters mentioned with their previous characters are in the Harry Potter movie.
