The long wait is finally over; ABS-CBN officially announced the airing date of the much awaited teleserye that will bring the brightest stars of their generation back on Primetime Bida namely Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, Julia Montes and Jake Cuenca. Entitled Ikaw Lamang, the announcement was done during the release of the full trailer last February 21 within the timeslot of Honesto.
The latest teleserye of ABS-CBN will be directed by Malu L. Sevilla and Avel E. Sunpongco with the set up of the 70s-80s genres where the land owners and rich have the power over the poor. And the poor only have their dignity and dreams as their wealth. Ikaw Lamang will introduced us to the character of Samuel (Coco), a son of a farmer who wanted to improve the lives of his family and the community and believing that education can help them. There’s also Isabel (Kim), the daughter of one of the land owners who later fell in love with the heroic and idealistic Samuel, but with the present issue on their differences on social status. Meanwhile there’s Mona (Julia) a very supportive friend to Samuel at the same time secretly loving him the same way with Franco (Jake) the person who loves Isabel since they were young.
