>Starting on Monday, December 21 muling magbubukas ang mga offices ng Commission on Election para sa Voter’s Registration Extension matapos pinaboran ng Supreme Court ang petisyon na ipinasa ni Kabataan Partylist Representative Raymond Palatino na i-declare na null and void ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) Resolution No. 8585 sa kadahilanang napaikli ang deadline ng voter’s registration sa dapat ay December 15 ay naging October 31, na kung saan ay dapat ay tatakbo ng 120 days para sa regular election at 90 days para sa special election, ito ay kasama sa petition na sinampa ng ni Representative Palatino.

Ang mga araw na magbubukas ang COMELEC offices para sa extension ng Voter’s Registration ay mula 8am – 5pm, at sa mga na Dec 21,-23 and 28-29 hanggang January 9, 2010. Para sa iwas abala ay ipinaaalala ni James Jimenez ng COMELEC na kumpletuhin ang mga requirements para makapagparehistro ang mga first time voters simula ngayong Lunes. Pero sa kabila ng pagbubukas muli ng voter’s registration sa Dec 21 ay tanging mga first time voter na lang ang tatanggapin at hindi na ang mga nagpapalipat ng voter’s precinct, pagpapa-reactivate at correction ng kanilang mga record. Sa kabila ng maaaring malaking pagbuhos ng mga magpaparehistro sa limang araw na registration ngayong December ay hindi na isasama sa tally ng COMELEC ang bilang ng mga magpaparehistro simula sa Lunes sa bilang ng mga ipapaimprentang ballot, “Traditionally and statistically, hindi nabubuo ang 100% (voter’s voting on election)” ito ang sagot ni Jimenez sa panayam niya sa TV Patrol World.
