Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 Grand Finalist Markki Stroem is one of the actors vying for an award in the Cinema One Originals 2012 Film Festival for the film Slumber Party. He will be playing the role of one of the three curious gays who are still in the state of exploring their sexuality. Joining Markki Stroem in this film are Archie Alemania, RK Bagatsing and Sef Cadayona.
Slumber Party is directed by Emmanuel Dela Cruz. It is a comedy film that will focus on a tied-up cute frat boy named Jonel (Sef) and three curious gays (Markki, Archie and RK) in the film. Happy and good friends but being attracted to the same person how will it affect their relationship or will it be a total riot between the three of them and best beki will emerge and finally get the boy. Expect some familiar scenes including the four gays who taped themselves while watching the Miss Universe 2010 Pageant where Venus Raj is one of the candidates. Venus even supported the film where one of the promo videos was hers.
Meanwhile, Markki Stroem is also doing a theater gig with Repertory Philippines for the musical Camp Rock which he plays one of the lead actors.
Slumber Party falls on the Cinema One Currents category that is composed of new breeds awarded with a one million pesos budget each. Other films under this category are Ang Paglalakbay Ng Mga Bituin Sa Gabing Madilim, CatNip, EDSA XXX, Melodrama Negra, Pascalina, Anak Araw, Aberya, Palitan and Mamay Umeng.

The 2012 Cinema One Originals Festival will run from Nov. 28 to Dec. 9 at Robinsons Galleria Movie World and from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4 at the Edsa Shang Cineplex. The awards night will be held on Dec. 3 at Studio 1 ABS-CBN Main Building.
