With the criteria of the degree of innovation, ergonomics, durability and ecological soundness, jury of international experts decided that Xperia active and Xperia ion earn plaudits for high quality and stylish minimalism, and Smart Wireless Headset pro and SmartDock for Xperia ion recognized for discreet design and impressive functionality. Aside from that Xperia ray receives an honorable mention for appearance and usability on the same awarding event.
According to Jeanna Kimbré, Director of Creative Product Design for Sony Mobile Communications, she said that design is at the heart of Sony Mobile’s product development philosophy and through with the Red Dot awards that it is a testament to the design quality of their Xperia smartphones and Smart Accessories, demonstrating their commitment in offering consumers a rich smartphone experience without sacrificing on functionality or design.
