The long wait is over! After months of on location auditions and breath taking revelations of the judges and mentors, the most expensive reality singing competition as of today will be kicking off on June 23 on ABS-CBN. The X-Factor Philippines will be hosted by showbiz royalty KC Concepcion and it was a franchise of The X-Factor TV series conceptualized Simon Cowell that started in the United Kingdom (UK). Up to date, aside from the Philippines the show was already franchised in countries like Albania, Kosovo, Australia, Belgium, USA, Colombia, Chile, Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, Italy, Indonesia, Norway and many more.
The X-Factor will test the capacity and ability of every contestant with the help of their mentors who is also the judges at the performance night. In the Philippines, the mentor/judges include The Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corales, International Singing Sensation Charice, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and Concert King Martin Nievera. Unlike other reality singing competition that will only have performance and elimination night; The X-Factor Philippines will have a mentoring segment that will show how their mentors will mold them in terms of their singing skills, clothing and style and building of their actual image on stage. Aside from that contestants will be divided on four (4) groups including male, female, group and more than 30s. 1 mentor will be assigned to each group.
