The stage is set for more performances of Last Dance – Hubo’t Hubad as JAPS Collectives and World Theater Productions Guam / Manila announce four additional shows on November 8, 12, 21, and 28, at 7:30 p.m. at Halxyon Club, Makati’s premier LGBTQ+ nightclub.
Written and directed by theater actor, writer, and producer Jojo Urquico, Last Dance is an intimate queer ensemble play set in the dressing room of a struggling male revue bar in Manila on what may be its final night. As a violent storm rages outside and the threat of a police raid looms, five performers prepare for one last show while confronting the dreams they abandoned, identities they concealed, and sacrifices they made to survive.
Behind the glitter, humor, and seductive performances are men searching for dignity, love, acceptance, and a place to belong. Through music, comedy, heartbreak, and raw confessions, their intertwined stories explore the resilience of a chosen family determined to keep dancing despite an uncertain future.
The production features Gerald Magallanes and Lance Cabradilla alternating as Ace, the fearless one. Magallanes is a theater actor, dancer, and choreographer with more than a decade of stage experience and multiple Aliw Award nominations. Cabradilla, meanwhile, is a theater, film, and musical theater performer whose credits include Bonifacio: The Musical, Juan Luna, Sindak 1941, and San Vicente.

Paolo Domingo plays Jay, the dreamer, a young performer aspiring to become a professional dancer while searching for acceptance and the courage to live on his own terms. Domingo is a versatile film and stage actor, creative professional, and resident DJ at Halxyon Club.
John Segui portrays Dodong, the heart of the group. A model and pageant performer who represented Cainta, Rizal, at King of the World Philippines 2025, Segui brings to life a funny, caring, and protective character who uses humor to conceal his longing to be loved and understood.
Kriszan Manipon takes on the role of Mark, the veteran. A theater actor, improviser, and artist, Manipon portrays an experienced performer who has spent years navigating the realities of the industry while making sacrifices for the people he loves.
Robbie Padilla plays Rafa, the quiet soul. A photographer and visual storyteller, Padilla steps from behind the camera into the spotlight as a reserved and observant character carrying questions about life, purpose, and what remains when the music stops.
Also joining the cast is Ysmael Suarez as Josh. A Manila-based actor trained at Star Magic School for the Creative & Performing Arts and Sightlines Actors’ Space, Suarez has appeared in student films, plays, and short films. He is also a writer covering food and beverage, art, and culture for publications including Vogue Philippines, Lifestyle Asia, Art+ and The Post.
Supporting the production are Jem-jem Ria Lopez as Mama Lou, along with Fewsha Umber and Lexie Eera as the Halxyon Queens.
For Urquico, Last Dance marks a significant milestone in his artistic career as his first-ever written play. A German-Filipino actor, singer, director, and artistic leader, he has performed internationally in productions such as Miss Saigon as Thuy, Rent as Angel, Romeo & Juliet as Tybalt, and Die Zauberflöte as Tamino. His career has brought him to renowned stages and cultural institutions, including the Göteborg Opera and Staatsoper Stuttgart. He has also received the Most Outstanding Theater Performing Artist award.
Since 2017, Urquico has served as artistic director of World Theater Productions, bringing together artists from different parts of the world to create theatrical experiences for audiences in Guam. With Last Dance, he takes on the roles of playwright and director, bringing his own story and creative vision to the stage.
The artistic team includes Alex Garcia as production manager, Prince Beating as co-writer and stage manager, Christian Magallanes as assistant stage manager, and Martin Del Rosario as sound and lighting designer and graphic designer.
Adding a meaningful dimension to the extended run, LoveYourself serves as the production’s advocacy partner and will receive a portion of the ticket sales from the November 8 performance to support its LGBTQIA+ advocacy and community initiatives.
With the tagline, “Five Men. One Stage. Stripped Bare. Stories Uncovered,” Last Dance – Hubo’t Hubad invites audiences to look beyond the performers’ bodies and discover the personal stories behind their characters.
Tickets are available through Ticket2Me.com, priced at Php 700, Php 800, and Php 1,000.
The production is strictly for adult audiences aged 18 and above. It contains mature themes, sensual performances, and partial and full nudity presented within a theatrical context.
