Xyriel Manabat, Karina Bautista, Kaori Oinuma, and Elyson de Dios bring chilling real-life supernatural encounters to the screen in iWant’s latest limited horror anthology, True Manila Encounters, premiering October 29 exclusively on the streaming platform.
Produced by award-winning CreaZion Studios, the series transforms frightening accounts gathered from across Metro Manila into suspenseful stories inspired by encounters with the supernatural.
The anthology opens with Undressed, starring Xyriel and Karina in a story about a vengeful spirit attached to a secondhand dress. Karina plays Pearl, a woman who suppresses her third eye to avoid paranormal encounters. Her fears return when her coworker Mei-Mei, played by Xyriel, purchases an ordinary-looking ukay-ukay dress, unaware of its gruesome past and the restless entity lurking within it.

Rae Red, the filmmaker behind critically acclaimed films such as Birdshot, Si Chedeng at Si Apple, and Eerie, directs the first episode.
The anthology continues with Occupant, starring Kaori and Elyson in a story about a long-distance relationship plagued by a sinister presence. Kaori portrays Ana, whose video calls with her workaholic boyfriend, Jam, played by Elyson, become increasingly terrifying as a disturbing entity begins tormenting her. As Ana struggles to distinguish reality from the supernatural, Jam races against time to save her and their relationship.

The episode is directed by Dodo Dayao, whose film credits include Uninvited, Midnight in a Perfect World, and Violator, earning him recognition from local and international audiences.
Experience these terrifying encounters when True Manila Encounters premieres with Undressed on October 29, followed by Occupant on November 5, both Thursdays and exclusively on iWant.
