BGYO members Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate are stepping into leading man roles as they explore different sides of romance in “Vertical On Demand,” a microdrama series inspired by the group’s latest EP On Demand. The ongoing series is available on the BGYO Official YouTube channel, bringing the EP’s songs to life through bite-sized stories about love, dating, relationships, and the unexpected twists that come with them.
The series opened with “Life’s Too Short,” starring Akira, JL, and Reign Parani, which follows Jules (Akira) as he gathers the courage to confess his feelings to Diane (Reign). With the help of his best friend Red (JL), Jules plans a surprise date in hopes of finally revealing what he feels.
Next came “Mean Girl,” featuring JL and Joy Barcoma, which puts a playful spin on modern dating. Brian (JL) struggles to find a date spot that his girlfriend Trish (Joy) will approve of, resulting in a series of humorous exchanges that capture the lighter and more relatable side of relationships.
Gelo and Alexa Ilacad lead the third episode, “Raindrop,” portraying James and Kai, a couple celebrating their anniversary. What begins as a romantic date filled with memories of their happiest moments gradually takes a more emotional turn as the couple confronts the tension beneath their relationship.
The latest episode, “Trono,” stars Mikki and Nate as two men unknowingly competing for the same date. Their friendly rivalry takes a hilarious turn when they discover that Kolette Madelo has been playing them both, adding another unexpected twist to the series.
Inspired by the group’s On Demand EP, which has already surpassed 2.5 million streams on Spotify, “Vertical On Demand” offers fans another way to experience BGYO’s music by pairing each track with short, character-driven love stories. The series also extends the group’s connection with fans following their recent mall tour, where they performed songs from the EP and met supporters at SM City Telabastagan, SM City Novaliches, SM City Sto. Tomas, SM City Baguio, SM Southmall, and SM Lanang.
