Netflix’s live-action ONE PIECE is expanding its Season 3 cast with four new recurring actors as the series heads into the fan-favorite Alabasta arc. Emilio Sakraya, Omid Abtahi, Jamie Ward, and Nabeel Khan join the upcoming season, titled ONE PIECE: The Battle of Alabasta, which is set to premiere in 2027.
Sakraya will portray Koza, Abtahi will play Toto, Ward takes on the role of Pell, and Khan will portray Chaka. The new characters join the Straw Hats as their journey takes them to the desert kingdom of Alabasta, where Princess Vivi seeks their help in saving her homeland from a devastating civil war.
Following the events of Season 2, Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hat crew return to aid Vivi (Charithra Chandran) as rebellion threatens to tear Alabasta apart. Behind the conflict is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, whose Baroque Works organization seeks to seize control of the kingdom.
Season 3 will see the Straw Hats face powerful enemies, difficult choices, and new challenges as they fight to prevent Alabasta from falling into chaos.
“For many ONE PIECE fans, Alabasta is the arc that hooked them as nakama for life,” Season 3 co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers Joe Tracz and Ian Stokes said. “Reaching this story has been a dream for our team since the live-action series began. We’re excited to be in production on Season 3 right now. We’ll see you in Alabasta — it’s going to be epic!”
Returning as the Straw Hats are Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji.
Season 2 cast members Charithra Chandran as Princess Vivi, Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as Alabasta King Nefertari Cobra will also return. Hoover, Manganiello, Abova, and Ramamurthy have been elevated to series regulars for the third season.
The expanding cast also includes Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace, Cole Escola as Bon Clay, Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger, and Awdo Awdo as Mr. 1.
With the Straw Hats heading into one of the most beloved story arcs in the ONE PIECE universe, Season 3 promises new worlds, formidable adversaries, and higher stakes as Luffy and his crew fight to help Vivi save Alabasta.
ONE PIECE: The Battle of Alabasta premieres exclusively on Netflix in 2027.
