Students can continue learning at home even during class suspensions caused by the habagat and typhoon season through curriculum-based video lessons from DepEd TV powered by Knowledge Channel, available through various television platforms nationwide.
In line with the Department of Education’s Order No. 014, s. 2026, which provides guidelines for learning continuity during emergencies, the DepEd TV powered by Knowledge Channel initiative has been revitalized to help students stay engaged with their lessons even while learning from home.

DepEd TV’s programming is aligned with the national curriculum and covers learners from Preschool to Grade 10, as well as Alternative Learning System (ALS) lessons. Programs covering different subjects air daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., providing families with flexible options for educational viewing.
The programs are developed and reviewed with the guidance of teachers, education specialists, and subject matter experts. Focus group discussions with students also help ensure that lessons and topics are presented in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.

Among the featured programs is “Wikaharian,” which helps young learners develop foundational Filipino reading skills through engaging activities and value-centered stories. Other programs include “Musikanthan,” which introduces children to music through fun activities; “MathDali,” which makes mathematics easier to understand; and “Ready, Set, Read,” which focuses on foundational English reading skills.
DepEd TV powered by Knowledge Channel is a collaborative initiative of Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc., the Department of Education, and Solar Learning, turning household television sets into accessible learning tools for Filipino families.
The programming is available nationwide through digital free TV on BEAM Channel 31 and SBN Channel 21; direct-to-home satellite services including Cignal, GSat, and SatLite; and cable providers such as SkyCable, SkyTV, Cablelink, and participating Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association (PCTA) operators.
