Netflix premieres the original sci-fi thriller The Last House on August 7, starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura. Directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me, Lupin), the film follows a family trapped inside their own home with no way out, forcing them into a desperate fight for survival.
The story centers on Ann and Jason, played by Lee and Moura, who suddenly find themselves sealed inside their house along with their children. As food and other essential supplies begin to run out, the family must work together to survive while uncovering the mysterious force that has trapped them inside.
Blending suspense, science fiction, and psychological tension, The Last House explores how an ordinary home can become a place of fear, pushing a family to their emotional and physical limits as they struggle to protect one another.
The film also stars Riley Chung, Emma Ho, Noah Alexander Sosnowski, and Gabriel Barbosa.
The Last House is written by Matthew Robinson, whose previous credits include Love and Monsters, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and The Invention of Lying. Leterrier also serves as producer alongside Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Kori Adelson for Chernin Entertainment, and Oly Obst for 3 Arts Entertainment. Executive producers include Thomas Benski, Cecile Gaget, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, and Damian Anderson.
The Last House begins streaming exclusively on Netflix on August 7.
