Kapuso actor Miguel Tanfelix steps into a new chapter as he takes on his first solo hosting role in the magazine infotainment special Planet XP, premiering May 2.
The five-episode program is a collaboration between GMA Network and the National Council for Children’s Television, produced under the 2024 National Endowment Fund for Children’s Television (NEFCTV).
Inspired by “XP” or Experience Points in gaming—earned as players level up skills—Planet XP brings Miguel into immersive real-world adventures that highlight nature, culture, and the beauty of the Philippines. Through his journeys, viewers are treated to stunning destinations, rich traditions, and inspiring stories of local communities.
Miguel goes all-in on adventure mode as he travels across the country—climbing mountains, sailing seas, and braving heavy rains. Along the way, he engages with diverse groups such as the Dumagat community of Norzagaray, Bulacan; Women Weavers of Cavinti, Laguna; Ayta-Mag-Indi farmers of Floridablanca, Pampanga; Mighty Mountaineers of San Jose, Tarlac; and Champion Grassroots Windsurfers of Mabini, Batangas.

Viewers will also meet the adorable animated animal XPlorer, Tammy Tamaraw, who introduces fascinating wildlife across the Philippines.
From showcasing breathtaking landmarks to promoting travel safety, food exploration, and animal welfare, Planet XP delivers educational and entertaining content designed to inspire every generation to explore and care for the world.
The show runs for five episodes, airing on GMA starting May 2, every Saturday at 6:30 p.m., after 24 Oras Weekend and before Pepito Manaloto.
