Teatré Phileo announces its latest theatrical offering, Now Showing: Ang Paglalantad, an original work by Vincent Ricafrente. The production will take the stage on December 4 and 5, 2025, with performances at 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM at the Asia Pacific College Multi-Purpose Hall 1. Written by Vincent Ricafrente, the production offers a closer look at the conflicts and compromises behind creating a film, inviting audiences to explore the often unseen realities of cinematic storytelling.
Set during a pre-production meeting, the play follows directors, writers, producers, and crew members as they attempt to merge their visions while navigating practical constraints. What begins as a standard planning session quickly transforms into an intense exchange of ideas, marked by clashes over creative choices, financial limitations, tight schedules, and personal aspirations. The result is a grounded and compelling portrait of the filmmaking experience.

Now Showing: Ang Paglalantad explores the delicate balance between artistic intent and commercial demands, the pressures inherent in production work, and the continuous negotiations that shape a film’s direction. At its core, the play honors the passion, resourcefulness, and dedication of the people whose craft brings movies to life. It encourages audiences to recognize the collaboration, perseverance, and artistry required at every stage of cinematic creation.
