The iconic Filipino group Masculados is officially back with Universal Records, the very label that jumpstarted their meteoric rise in the music industry. With this homecoming, the group is eager to reignite their career under the banner that first brought them into the spotlight.
Universal Records Executive Vice President Ramon Chuaying expressed his delight over the reunion:
“We are glad that Masculados is coming back to their home label. We’ll be working on new songs with the group, and we look forward to producing more hits. We also want millennials and Gen Z to discover the phenomenal success that Masculados once had.”

The members of Masculados shared the same enthusiasm, recalling their early days with the label. “We’re really looking forward to the projects ahead, because this is where our songs began and where Masculados became known,” they said. They also promised fans their signature, high-energy performances, assuring everyone of nothing less than “100% kaldagan” in everything they do.
And fans won’t have to wait long. Universal Records Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go revealed that right after the contract signing, the label released a fresh budots remix of the Masculados hit “Jumbo Hotdog”, crafted by internationally acclaimed Davao-based DJ Love, the pioneer of the budots craze.
This exciting release marks only the beginning of many more explosive projects to come from Masculados and Universal Records.
