The Queen of R&B, Kyla, makes a powerful comeback with the release of her highly anticipated new album “Next Episode,” her first full-length project in seven years. The milestone also coincides with her 25th anniversary in the music industry, marking a new chapter in her illustrious career.
The 11-track album blends contemporary pop, soul, and R&B in a distinctly OPM record that showcases Kyla’s signature vocal mastery, emotional depth, and lyrical honesty. At its core, Next Episode is a thematic journey of resilience, empowerment, and healing, reflecting the award-winning singer’s personal growth and strength. The project is produced by Jonathan Manalo, ABS-CBN creatives, content, and operations head, under Star Music.
Leading the album is “Kaya Ko Yan,” an anthem about self-worth and reclaiming happiness, featuring rising rapper Ace$. Other standout tracks include Stand Up, Bring Your Jacket, SANDAANDALI, Totoo Na, Konti Na Lang, Trust Issues, Litong Lito, and the title track Next Episode. The record also features Kyla’s previously released single Back to Bliss and her collaboration with Nyoy Volante, Kahit Kayo Pa Rin.
Next Episode follows her last album The Queen of R&B released in 2018.
Alongside the album release, Kyla will celebrate her 25th year in music with a one-night-only concert, “The Kyla Soundscape: The Best of 25 Years in Concert,” happening on October 18 (Saturday), 8 PM at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, Circuit Makati.
