Madame Tussauds Hong Kong continues to honor Asia’s biggest names as it announces its newest Filipino wax figure, Kathryn Bernardo, one of the most celebrated actresses of her generation.
A multi-awarded performer, Kathryn’s career spans two decades of success on television and film. Crowned the Phenomenal Box-Office Queen of Philippine Cinema, she began acting at just seven years old and went on to headline record-breaking hits such as Got to Believe, Pangako Sa ’Yo, The Hows of Us, and Hello, Love, Goodbye, which was filmed in Hong Kong. Its sequel, Hello, Love, Again, made history as the first Filipino film to surpass ₱1 billion at the global box office, becoming the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
Kathryn’s influence reaches far beyond the Philippines, with devoted fans across Asia including Vietnam, Thailand, and South Korea. In 2020, Forbes Asia named her among the most influential social media celebrities in the Asia-Pacific region, affirming her widespread impact and star power.
This year, Kathryn achieves another milestone as she becomes the fourth Filipino personality to be immortalized at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, joining Pia Wurtzbach, Manny Pacquiao, and Anne Curtis. “It’s a dream come true to have my own wax figure, and I’m deeply grateful to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust,” Kathryn shared after her sitting session last August. “I’m so excited for fans everywhere to meet my twin. It’s such a special moment for me.”
