In a world where the rules of contract killing have collapsed, Mantis sets the stage for a brutal showdown among a deadly ensemble of assassins, each determined to claim the coveted No. 1 spot.
The story follows Han-ul (Yim Si-wan), nicknamed “Mantis,” an elite killer returning from a long hiatus to find his former company, MK Entertainment, in disarray. Seizing the chaos as an opportunity, Han-ul launches his own “Mantis Company” and partners with Jae-yi (Park Gyu-young), a former rival whose ambition and competitiveness keep their alliance on edge. The pair, who previously shared the screen as Player 333 and Pink Guard No. 11 in Squid Game, reunite in this high-stakes Netflix thriller, bringing a crackling intensity to their dynamic.
But their plan is complicated by Dokgo (Jo Woo-jin), a legendary assassin and Han-ul’s former mentor, who resurfaces with his own bid to take control of MK Entertainment. What follows is a tense three-way power struggle, with loyalties shifting as fast as the bullets fly.
The main trailer teases a rush of rhythm-driven, visually striking action as Han-ul and Jae-yi’s partnership is tested by mistrust, betrayal, and outside temptations. Benjamin (Choi Hyun-wook), an investor and CEO of a gaming company, sees potential in Jae-yi and tempts her away from Han-ul, forcing her to confront where her loyalties truly lie.

Mantis stands out for its stylish choreography, psychological tension, and relentless drive toward the top of the assassin hierarchy, where survival means outsmarting, outgunning, and outlasting every rival. Directed by first-time filmmaker Lee Tae-sung, the film premieres exclusively on Netflix on September 26.
