Clothes are more than just fabric. They carry memories, mark milestones, and reflect the stories that shape who we are.
2TinCans Philippines, Cebu’s premier theatre communications company, in partnership with Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, brings the acclaimed production Love, Loss, and What I Wore to the stage. The show will run at 8 PM on August 16 and 17 at the Grand Ballroom of Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, Nivel Hills, Apas, Cebu City.
Written by Nora and Delia Ephron and based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, the play is a powerful mix of monologues and ensemble pieces centered around women, clothing, and memory. From prom dresses and shoes to purses and wedding gowns, the stories use fashion as a way to explore themes of identity, love, heartbreak, family, and self-discovery.

Directed by Charlene Virlouvet, the production features 2TinCans Theatre Company members Liana San Diego, Mikee Amagsila, Regina Binueza, Shanice Kae Suarez, Shifrah Bouchikhi-Enclona, and Vanessa Fe.
They are joined by guest performers including 2TinCans Producing Artistic Director Sarah Mae Enclona-Henderson; language school directress Aleah Alerre Lim; journalist Andi Pateña-Matheu; social entrepreneur Anya Lim; singer-songwriter and beauty queen Victoria Leslie Ingram; and legal professionals Elaine Bathan (College of Law Assistant Dean and former DOT Undersecretary), Gingging Navarro-Laude (retired lawyer), and Regal Oliva (public servant and LGBTQIA+ advocate).
The play offers a timely and relatable reflection on the shared experiences of women across generations. It creates space for storytelling, connection, and reflection, all brought to life with humor and heart.
Marco Polo Plaza Cebu continues to strengthen its cultural engagement with the local community through events such as this. Ticket holders will enjoy special perks, including discounted room rates and dining privileges at all Marco Polo restaurants from August 15 to 18.
Complementing the live performance is Stitched, a storytelling exhibit featuring a curated collection of clothing and accessories paired with personal narratives that reveal the deeper meaning behind each piece. The exhibit reinforces the idea that fashion can serve as a powerful vessel for memory and identity.
Love, Loss, and What I Wore is a celebration of the everyday stories that shape women’s lives and the memories stitched into every thread.
