After welcoming Crash Landing on You’s Hyun Bin last May, Smart Communication Inc announces the arrival of Son Ye-jin in the Smart family. Ye-jin will be the new face of the Smart Signature campaign as she possesses the personality of an empowered young professional who aims for an elevated lifestyle and uses technology to make things simple and easy.
Alfredo S. Panlilio, PLDT Chief Revenue Officer and Smart President and CEO shared that choosing Ye-jin is the perfect endorser of Smart Signature for being a well-achieved person. She’s been 20 years in the entertainment industry and won several awards including best actress recognition from Busan Film Critics Awards, KOFRA Film Awards, and Baeksang Arts Awards.
Jane J. Basas, Smart Senior Vice president and Head of Consumer Wireless Business mentioned that the talks with the management of Ye-jin happened in June and they started the shoot for the commercial in July.
Meanwhile, Shing Dimagiba, Postpaid Marketing Category Head at Smart Communications, Inc. says that they have no plans yet of making a “reunion like” TVC of Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin for their CLOY fans. But according to him that they are looking with that that will be bringing happiness to the fans.
Dimagiba also announced that 5G is now available in selected areas of Metro Manila and North Luzon for the Smart-certified handsets with 5G-activated SIMs. The Smart 5G-certified devices include Huawei, Samsung, RealMe, and Vivo that are available with Smart Signature plans in select Smart Stores.
