Every year, tens of thousands flock to Bacolod City in Negros Occidental for MassKara Festival, one of the most colorful and fun festivals in the Philippines. Started as a way to uplift the spirits of Negrenses in the midst of a sugar crisis and a devastating tragedy, the MassKara Festival celebrates the unbreakable spirit of Filipinos with lively street parties, colorful parades, dance and music concerts, and food fests.

With tons of things to do and sights to see, it can get overwhelming. But to make it easier, Smart has whipped up some of the biggest parties and awesome activities for an unforgettable MassKara Festival experience this weekend:

  1. Get your groove on for Smart MassKaRaid

There’s nothing like awesome beats to get you in the mood for a weekend full of festivities. So head to Stage 1 along Lacson Street on Oct. 27 for the Smart MassKaRaid, which features local band Mojo Nova, indie rapper Curtismith, electro-pop-rock band Gracenote, and party staples DJ Ace Ramos and MC Pao.

  1. Dance all night at Spectrum’s Electric MassKara Afterparty

The Electric MassKara – the night parade featuring LED-lit dancers, bands, and floats – is definitely a sight to behold. All that great energy carries over to the Electric MassKara Afterparty at Stonehill Skydeck on Oct. 27, featuring some of the country’s best beatmakers, including Ace Ramos, MC Pao, DJ Jom, JR Lee and Rammy Bitong.

  1. Celebrate with homegrown musicians at Logiclub MassKara 2018

If you are down for a chill night, Logiclub has got your back at Homegrown BCD on Oct. 27, with live performances by Curtismith, DJ Jess Milner, Earl of Manila, Dante +Amigo, VY!DD, Six the Northstar, Sky Dominique, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Luh Masheen, Thrones, and Some Guy. Logiclub is also bringing CRWN to take center stage on Oct. 28.

  1. Design your own MassKara Tshirt at the Smart Hub

Smart is setting up the Smart Hub along Lacson Street, which features exciting activities for you and your friends! For instance, you can design your own #SmartMassKara Festival shirt when you activate a Smart LTE SIM and register to Giga Surf 99 which comes with #FreeYouTubeEveryday. The Smart Hub also lets you enjoy free Instax printouts when you use the hashtag #SmartMasskara, capture augmented reality photos and videos, play mobile games, or discover more about Bacolod using your smartphone’s QR scanner, among other fun activities.

  1. Catch live mural art by local artists at Smart’s “The Hideout”

Smart is also mounting a unique lounge called The Hideout at Homegrown BCD, which features live mural art from Negros-based artists. The Hideout also lets you enjoy free Instax printouts when you use the hashtag #SmartMassKara, or take home awesome items like the #SmartMassKara Tshirt when you activate a Smart LTE SIM and register to Giga Surf 99, which now comes with #FreeYouTubeEveryday.

All packed and ready to go? Don’t forget to register to Smart Giga Surf 99, which lets you enjoy 2GB data for surfing and enjoying apps, unlitexts to all networks, and up to 1 hour of Free YouTube Everyday – valid for 7 days. To register, simply text GIGA99 to 9999.

Also join in the fun by using #SmartMassKara on your social media posts, and make sure you follow Smart’s official accounts on Facebook (www.facebook.com/SmartCommunications), Twitter and Instagram (@LiveSmart).
