In the first round of the week-long semi-finals of Tawag ng Tanghalan where the semi-finalists performed their audition song, “Sales Diva ng Makati” Rachel Gabreza and “Dad Incredi-voice ng Navotas” Jaime Navarro were revealed that they are in the bottom 2 of the combined votes of the jury and text votes of the viewers. Rachel got 63.20, while Jaime 57.33. The points of Dominador Alviola Jr. the “Ulirang Tatay ng Davao”, “Mama Sessionista ng Pagadian” Maricel Callo and “Sweet Songstress ng Laguna” Mary Gidget Dela Llana were not revealed.
Meanwhile, in the second round the contenders performed the songs that they dedicate to their family. Jaime kicked off in the second round with Leo Valdez’ Magsimula Ka, followed by Gidget with Diana Rose’s Home and ending the first half was Maricel with Simon And Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water.
On the second half, Rachel performed Regine Velasquez’ Shine and Dominador with Jimmy Fontana’s Il Mondo.
For the second time voting lines were opened for the viewer to cast their votes to combine with the judges. Will there be a change in the standing? Round 3 of Tawag ng Tanghalan in It’s Showtime will happen on March 30 after Be My Lady.
