Aside from dance craze Nae Nae, Twerk It Like Miley of Brandon Beal has reached the Filipino netizens as they make their own versions of the song in their Dubsmash uploads. Teejay Marquez was one of the Filipino celebrities who first upload his video on Instagram and generated the netizens to create their own including fellow celebrities including The Voice Kids Philippines Season 1 finalists Darren Espanto and Juan Karlos Labajo.
Darren uploaded his version of Twerk It Like Miley in his Intagram account @darrenespanto1 where it gained 25.6 likes as this article being written. He uploaded it last June 12.
Meanwhile, his close friend and fellow finalist in The Voice Kids, which is Juan Karlos or JK, uploaded a video to in his Instagram account @heyitsmejk. It gained 10.2K likes. It was also uploaded in June 12.
Also on the same day, Darren and JK uploaded a video mash-up of Twerk It Like Miley in their both Instagram account.
JK got 10.3K likes, while Darren has 22K.
