After the successful finale of Forevermore last Friday, ABS-CBN brings another teleserye that will surely captures the hearts of all primetime viewers. Under the Star Creatives team, ABS-CBN brings back the 2000 iconic teleserye Pangako Sa’Yo on Primetime TV with a modern approach and next cast. Now playing the role of Yna and Angelo that were previously portrayed by Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will now play the iconic roles. Joining the cast is Jodi Sta. Maria as Amor, Angelica Panganiban as Claudia and Ian Veneracion as Eduardo.
On the pilot episode of Pangako Sa’Yo, netizens welcome the remake warmly as the hashtag #PSYAngUnangPagIbig trended number 1 on Twitter both Philippines and Worldwide. Netizens enjoyed the pilot episode giving a modern approach on the characters of Amor, Claudia and Eduardo. At the same time the characters have a deeper backstory that will give a huge impact in the succeeding episodes. Amor now knows how to cook at the same time a nursing student, Claudia an illegitimate daughter of a politician who uses her beauty to join pageants in order to earn money and Eduardo one of the owners of Buena Mines.
