With the new voting mechanics on the second week of live performance night of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 where before the night ends the names of the contestants who will be moving on the next round of competition will be announced. The teams of Apl.de.Ap and Sarah Geronimo performed earlier and the contestants who will still join the competition are Daryl Ong, Alisah Bonaobra, Kokoi Baldo, Monique Lualhati, Mackie Cao and Jason James Dy
Daryl and Alisah gained the highest percentage of votes for Team Apl while for Team Sarah its Kokoi and Monique. Mackie and Jason Dy where selected by their coaches to continue their journey on the show. Meanwhile Suy Galvez of Team Apl and Jason Fernandez of Team Sarah officially ended their journey in the show.
During the live performance Alisah performed Laserlight followed by Daryl with the song Smile. Suy and Mackie belted out Bridge Over Troubled Water and Maghintay Ka Lamang respectively for Team Apl. For Team Sarah Kokoi sings Could You Be Loved, followed by Jason F. performing Moves Like Jagger. Lastly Jason Dy sings O.M.G and Monique with Bang Bang.
The voting mechanics for each team were opened after the performance of each group and it was closed right after the commercial break. This will be the same mechanics for the teams of Lea Salonga and Bamboo that will be performing on February 8 at the Newport Performance Arts Theater (NPAT) in Resorts World Manila.
Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga host the Voice of the Philippines with V Reporters Robi Domingo and Alex Gonzaga. The show airs on ABS-CBN after MMK on Saturdays and Rated K on Sundays.
