After the success of The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin during the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and still showing in selected cinemas, the box-office movie already earned Php 415 Million as of January 9. The film stars Vice Ganda as the lead star together with Alex Gonzaga, Richard Yap and Bimby Aquino-Yap. During the victory party of Star Cinema for The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin and Feng Shui that rank number 1 and 2 respectively as the top earners of 2014 MMFF films, Bimby announced that he will star in his first solo movie under the same movie production.
Bimby announced it stage that made her mother Kris Aquino very happy and proud of him. Kris wished that the movie project will happen which she will be coaching her son the same way he coached him during The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin as she balanced her time while taping Feng Shui too.
Bimby first appeared in the 2013 MMFF film My Little Bossings with Ryzza Mae Dizon and Vice Sotto that was also a box office movie in 2013.
