After her first try in a reality singing competition in 2012 for The X Factor Philippines as part of the group AKA JAM that was created and mentored by Gary Valenciano, Monique Lualhati believes on a second chance and auditioned at The Voice of the Philippines Season 2. In the blind audition she performed was Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man.

Among the 4 coaches only Sarah Geronimo and Apl.de.Ap who turn their chairs for her. And Monique selected Sarah because she believes that the Popstar Royalty can really help her especially she worked with Sarah before in the musical TV series IDOL that aired in ABS-CBN last 2010. She said in her interview before the blind audition that her determination to succeed this time is for her sibling that needed an eye operation whereas Apl said he can relate with it and he hopes for the best for the new member of team Sarah.
