On June 19, the anti-graft court of Sandiganbayan’s 1st division ordered issuance of warrant of arrest against Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. after being found that the plunder and graft cases filled against him were fit to stand trial. As this article was written Sandiganbayan is waiting for the release of the arrest warrant of Revilla and will make him first ever lawmaker who will be detained because of being involved with the anomalies connected to Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or popularly known as the pork barrel where as he allegedly channeled the said funds to ghost projects of doubtful non-government organizations (NGOs).
Sandiganbayan found the said charges probable against the senator. Whereas allegedly he pocketed Php 242 Million as kickbacks for allowing the said dubious NGOs which was indicated in papers as beneficiaries of the PDAF and later it was connected to the alleged pork barrel queen and now detained Janet Lim Napoles.
With the warrant of arrest that will be released soon by the law enforcement agencies that will also implement, Revilla is required to attend the court hearing and will be temporarily place of detention which will be implemented by the law enforcement.
