After their short yet successful tandem in the horror comedy film Cinco in 2010, Pokwang and Zanjoe Marudo are back together on the big screen in a comedy film with Ellen Adarna entitled My Illegal Wife. Inspired from all the successful teleserye of ABS-CBN The Legal Wife and other hit movies of Star Cinema including She’s The One, Bride For Rent and Starting Over Again, the comedy film was directed by Tony Y. Reyes.
Pokwang will be playing the role of Clarise who is pressured by the request of her children to present them their real father. Unfortunately, Clarise’s two children has two different fathers and abandoned them that’s why she’s forced to find someone who will finally fall in love with her and accept her children. And her prayer was answered after an accident where she met Henry (Zanjoe) a hot stud suffering from amnesia that made him believe that they are married.
How will Clarise take on a risky plan like this just for her children and until when she will lie to them and herself? What if Henry’s memory finally come back how will Clarise confront him?
My Illegal Wife also stars Empoy Marquez, Joy Viado, Pooh, Edgar Allan Guzman, Beauty Gonzalez, Mikylla Ramirez, Steven De Guzman and Ms. Anita Linda. It will be showing in all cinemas nationwide starting June 11 under Skylight Films and Star Cinema.
