Counting down to the official release of She’s Dating The Gangster in cinemas nationwide starting July 16 with the phenomenal tandem of the Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo or popularly known as the KathNiel, Star Cinema releases the teaser of their 3rd leading movie together. She’s Dating The Gangster follows the story of Athena Dizon (Bernardo), a student, and Kenji de los Reyes (Padilla), a rebellious teenager. They begin a pretend relationship in order to spite Kenji’s ex-girlfriend, but slowly their relationship inevitably transforms into something greater. With their relationship starting to grow how the two confront it if they had an agreement from the start.

The romantic comedy film follows the successful tandem of KathNiel in both TV and movie. From Princess and I and Got To Believe that became trending topic every night on Primetime Bida of ABS-CBN to the box office success of Must Be Love and Pagpag Siyam Na Buhay under Star Cinema. The film takes the tandem to a story where everyone can relate in a school set up where first love, and first heartache did happen.

The film is based from the best-selling novel of Bianca Bernardino that was originally introduced in Wattpad, a community writing website and later published and distributed by Summit Media. It was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, who was KathNiel’s director in Got To Believe.
