After more than 5 months of searching for good-looking and talented gay heartthrobs in the country, John Raspado from Baguio City emerges as the winner of the I Am Pogay and will be bringing home Php 300, 000 cash and other prizes, John Raspado wows the crowd along with the panel judges that include Lani Misalucha, Richard Gomez, Vicki Bello, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa, and John Hilario.
John outlasted his fellow grand finalists including Godofredo dela Cruz, Bogus Pineda, Sycris Brown, John delos Reyes, Bench Tinao, Mhar Ortigas, Tian Lacsamana, Lloyd Dominic Calimag, RR Rodriguez, Yro Alim, Oreo Gajasan, Rinz Alton Villaruel, Gel Jimenez, Kenken Balboa, Francis Tamo, Bodz de Guzman, Kris Alcantara, Pao Nakamura, Jap Raymundo, Jay Navarra, AJ Fullido, and Kel Kainoy.
During the competition he was joined by Oreo Gajasan, Jay dela Cruz, Peter Sycris Brown, Christian Laxamana, Kris Alcantara, Ton Villaruel, Francis Tamo, AJ Fullido, and Von De Guzman in the Top 10. Moving to Top 5 with Christian, Ton, Oreo and Sycris.
Ranking includes Sycris and Ton as Bottom 2, while Oreo ranked as 2nd followed by Christian as 1st runner-up
He was a wildcard contender who made it to the finals and later secured the title.
Meanwhile, special awards were awarded to Rinz Alton Villaruel for Beksfriend Award (Friendship) Bench Tinao for Pa-Min-Talent Award (Talent). While, Sycris Brown wins Kumu-Couture (Formal Wear) Award while BruskoDay (Manly) Award.
