We always say the line “mother’s love is the greatest”, in line with the celebration of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21 the organization CoorDown (Coordinator of the National Association of People with Down Syndrome) received a letter from a scared mother who is expecting a child that has down syndrome. She said that she’s afraid and don’t know what will be the life of her child would be in the future.

In response with the scared mother’s message is a video created by CoorDown having 15 kids with Down Syndrome to give a very heartwarming message telling her that her child will able to speak, go to school, love, be happy and live on his own. Here’s the very heartwarming video that CoorDown released entitled Dear Future Mom.

The said video was released by CoorDown in collaboration of Saatchi & Saatchi Italy. The campaign aims to advocate on the understanding of Down Syndrome in the society. To address the stigma that Down Syndrome cases are helpless and will not have a better future ahead of team. But in fact they are the same with other people especially those who are called normal by the social norms. In reality with the right nurturing and love they can have proper education and enter a job in the future. They should not be shut away in the society instead giving them a perfect space where they can share their minds and affection.

Whether you are a mother or a future mom, a brother or sister, a friend or living in a society with them, opening our hearts and mind with them is the best key to open opportunities ahead of them. Join me together with the rest of the advocates around the world in reaching out to others to open their hearts and mind. Join the campaign and share your words of inspiration via social network with #DearFutureMom hasgtag. Together we can make a big difference.
