Opening on March 2014, ABS-CBN brings the biggest name in industry for a period based drama entitled Ikaw Lamang headed by Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, Julia Montes and Jake Cuenca. Last Valentine’s Day, the Kapamilya network gave a special preview on what will be the story of Ikaw Lamang along with other cast members including Cherie Gil, John Estrada, Tirso Cruz III, Ronaldo Valdez, Ronnie Lazaro, Cherry Pie Picache, Daria Ramirez, Angel Aquino, and Spanky Manikan.
The story will center on the conflict of rich and poor in the set up of the landlords will be the powerful while the workers will always submit to their will in order to survive. The love story begins in the reunion of the characters Samuel (Coco) and Sabel (Kim) after being separated after the conflict they encountered when they were young. But with the reunion comes along with the return of Franco (Jake) that brought that separation and Mona (Julia) who will always be that silent supporter of Samuel. Watch the special trailer below:
Ikaw Lamang was headed by the production of Dreamscape that brought Ina Kapatid Anak, Walang Hanggan, Juan dela Cruz, and Tayong Dalawa. The drama series brings the reunion of Coco to Kim and Jake after Tayong Dalawa and with Julia after the phenomenal Walang Hanggan.
The young Kim, Coco, Julia and Jake in the trailer were played by Alyanna Angeles, Zaijan Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat and Louise Abuel. Opening on March on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida, Ikaw Lamang is under the direction of Malu L. Sevilla and Avel E. Sunpongco.
