Being a very out going and talented rising dramatic actress of ABS-CBN, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) sees Jessy Mendiola’s potential to be the honorary ambassador for Korean Tourism. Together with Star Magic, KTO Manila through their director Sangyong Zhu appointed Jessy Mendiola last October 31. She had her 5 day tour in South Korea to visit the beautiful tourist spots along meeting celebrities including Sandara Parkof 2Ne1 and Boyfriends.
Jessy started her tour last October 29 where she visited Changdeokgung Royal Palace, N-Seoul, Lotte World and Korean hospitals. She’s very thankful that she’s given that opportunity at the same another milestone in her career with Star Magic where she became the lead star of Maria Mercedes and numerous advertisements.
Being in South Korea last October was not a first time with Jessy where she visited the country last 2012 to participate in the KBS channel’s World Date with K-Pop stars Shinee. She admired Korea for being modern in terms of technology at the same time preserving their history and culture. KTO Manila gave Jessy threw gifts including books of Korea about history and culture, authentic Korean tea sets and Korean make up.
Being tourism ambassador for South Korea, Jessy now joins Psy, Super Junior, 2PM, Miss A, Paul Potts, Lindsay Price and other popular stars appointed as the Korean tourism ambassadors under KTO. Her tour will be featured on Matanglawin on December 1 and now stars in Call Center Girl with Pokwang and Enchong Dee under Skylight Films and Star Cinema.
